More Tips for Small Business Owners Using Google +

Posted: January 18, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: Expert Bytes | Tags: , , , , | No Comments »

Google + is now a must-have marketing tool for small business. But many are struggling with exactly how to effectively use this new social network. If you read today’s BizBytes 101 column in the Miami Herald, we presented for common problems and how you can solve them.

Here are a couple more tips to help make navigating Google + easier for you!

1. Use the keyword search feature. One great thing about Google + is that you can conduct keyword searches to find about, in real-time, what people are talking about on the social network. Be sure to regularly search for your company name to find out what is being said about your small business.

2. Track where you content goes. Use the Ripples feature to see exactly where the content you post on Google + ends up. Who’s reading it? Who’s not? Ripples can tell you.

3. Don’t get discouraged. Remember when Facebook first came out? It took some getting used to and so will Google +. Don’t get discouraged if you’re not a superstar on the new social network yet. It’s going to take time. Keep plugging away, try to use the features offered on a regular basis and don’t give up!
